SUSPENSION

I started out with a set of 17x7.5" AMG monoblocks and Kuhmo Supra 215.45.17 tires.  Next was to lower the car by using the H&R Cup kit.  This Cup kit was designed for the 2.3l 190E, not my 2.6l, but what the heck, it should work and only lower the car maybe another .5", right?  Wrong!  That cup kit lowered the car over 4", right onto the tires and I mean ONTO the tires.  The 190 was not even drivable, so much for experiments.  After pulling the cup kit off and replacing it with Bilstein sport shocks and a set of Eibach pro springs, this is how the car sits now.  Ride is firm (of course) and handling is predictable.  Body roll has been reduced quite allot as well.  I highly recommend this setup for the performance minding driver.

I now have 2002 E430 17x7.5" wheels with Kuhmo Supra 205.40.17 tires as the 215.45.17's were still rubbing.  I don't recommend that size tire, at a minimum you should use the 215.40.17 tire.  I also cut one coil off the Eibachs, this is how the 190 sits now.
