This Corvette was ordered in November of 1999 from Lee Johnson Chevrolet in Kirkland Washington. Its sequence number was
CFZ JHM and was built on 2/28/00. It arrived on March 17th and I was present for its
delivery. The preparation of the Corvette was done by myself and it was taken home on March
20th, 2000. I elected to purchase the Fixed Roof Coupe (FRC) version since it
was lighter & 33% stiffer than the Targa or Convertible. Since I do
quite a bit of racing, it was the logical choice for me. The FRC comes
standard with the 3:42 performance rear end GU6, Z51 handling package FE3 and the 6 Speed Manual Transmission MM6. I
ordered this car in Nassau Blue 23U (which was on death watch) so it is one of
the last to roll out of Bowling Green wearing this color. It also has
these options; High Polish wheels QF5, Power drivers seat AG1, Cargo Net
AP9, Floor mats B34, Bose in dash CD UNO, 12 Disc changer U1S, Bose Speakers
UZ6, Heads Up Display UV6, Fog lights T96 and Active Handling JL4.
Basically all the options available on the FRC.
These
pictures were taken at Lee Johnson Chevrolet in Kirkland Washington, the day my
Corvette arrived. It was just unloaded off of the truck. I missed
that by about 10 minutes. If you notice, the car has no shipping plastic
on the exterior. My C5 was selected for QA and was test driven at Bowling
Green for 52
miles. Guess they could not drive it with the plastic on it or so the
dealer says.
