Harness Bar
After review of available harness bar options, I decided to go with a bar made by Gary Hoffman of Harbar.net, Gary's products are very well researched, designed and are of very high quality (Gary is a Aerospace engineer and can provide you with all sorts of technical data if you want).  Along with the harness bar, I purchased the camera mount and fire extinguisher mount.  All these items were powder coated black.

Picture 1 shows the passenger side factory seat belt mounting location, you would use a small flat blade screw driver to remove the plastic cover. Picture 2 shows you the removal of the factory belt, I used a T45 Torx to do this, but GM recommends a T47, I had no problems with the T45 and the bolt was not too tight either.  In picture 3, you can see the end of the harness bar and how the bolt goes into it.  Although I did this on my own, I would recommend having a friend handy to lend a couple of extra hands.

This picture shows the long allen bolt inserted into the harness bar.  Gary provides three different spacers to go over the threads of the bolt.  I used the smallest of the spacers on both sides.  Picture two shows the harness bar installed.  The install is rather simple and with a extra set of hands, you can speed up the process quite a bit.  The install only took about 30 minutes.  Gary recommends 37 pounds of torque on the allen bolts.  The last picture shows the factory seat belt harness now mounted to the harness bar (Gary includes all the necessary bolts to do this).  You can also see the camera mount and fire extinguisher mount.  Your five point harnesses wrap around the bar (as seen in the picture).  It would be nice if there were small holder loops for the harness belts, I noticed driving around that the belts slide all over the harness bar.  This would not happen if the belts are being used, but for everyday driving on the street, that is not practical or legal.  I ended up rolling my harness belts around the bar and using some strips of Velcro to secure them in place.

This harness bar is top notch and very reasonably priced ($275 for the harness bar powder coated black, $70 for the video camera mount powder coated black and $70 for the fire extinguisher mount power coated black)
